get ready for some alligator photos!

i know you've all been waiting to see some pictures of real, live alligators.  on wednesday we went to shark valley (no sharks--lots of alligators).  we opted for the 2-hour tram ride tour of the everglades, rather than the bike-it-yourself option.  i'm all for seeing alligators, but i wanted a little more than a bike between me and them!  here are some pictures of the good times!

Cool...I think. How do they prevent someone from getting eaten if they're that close though?

I love the last picture of your family. Even w/ sunglasses covering your eyes they are still clearly saying "please hurry and take the picture -- there are crazy alligators behind us!" Looks like a very fun day.

This looks like so much fun! You were being so brave! I know how you fear the gator! Do you think that the People in Utah who have a stuffed goat in their front room- would have a stuffed gator if they lived in Florida? Can you imagine walking in to visit teach someone and having to look at a stuffed animal that was that big, while teaching the lesson?

It's funny, because I think I got used to all the alligators around while we were there, and stopped feeling like they could be dangerous, but now that I'm looking at the pictures again, it seems crazy! I love the fish pictures - it makes me laugh every time I remember it.

You guys are very brave. How do they make sure no one gets eaten? My heart is beating fast just looking at the ones of pace wanting to jump off the bridge and I'm not even there and I know he made it!
