florida move update

yes, we are really moving to florida (davie/ft. lauderdale)!  this is a slight change from the plan(s) we originally had (africa, egypt...), but it looks like this one is going to stick.  we've found a house we're really excited about (we're going  to rent it--we're selling our house in virginia).  this next month is going to be slightly crazy for us:  our stuff is getting packed up next week, then we'll be staying at the clark's house for a week (thanks!) while we close on our house and wrap things up here.  we're flying to utah dec. 3rd and spending christmas there, and we'll finally move to florida dec. 27th.  here are some pictures of the florida house, representing a few of my favorite things about the house.  hooray for warm weather and a big yard! and maybe i will even cook if i have a nice kitchen?

This place looks great! About the cooking part...I now have a nice kitchen, and unfortunately it hasn't changed my cooking habits. Fortunately, Ray loves to use the kitchen and cooks great stuff! Lucky me. What a great new adventure you are headed on. I hope to see you while you're in Utah. I'm so sorry I missed you last time.

Wow, looks like a great place...I may have to visit after all!
I bet it feels good to have a plan and a place to live. I'm glad you will still be stateside. I wish I were in Utah to see you, I don't think I can justify another road trip so soon. Bummer!

Yay! It looks fabulous! I can't wait to come visit! That's how I'm coping with you leaving again--at least I can come visit you in Florida! Don't leave without saying goodbye!

The house looks great! Everything is falling into place, another crazy 2 months and you'll be settling down. Though, doesn't something always come up when you think that?

okay, i have tried to post a comment twice, and then when i come back the next day it's still not there. hmm. what i've said both times is that i love the house, it looks perfect. and i think the kitchen will bring out all sorts of cooking talents. good luck with all the stuff that comes before (and after) a move!

Oh, and you can quote me on the Twilight rule. J hasn't started asking thank goodness. She'd be in for a long 8 years if she had!

Oh, I'm a little jealous. You are going somewhere warm and you will have a pool. That sounds very very nice to me.

That looks so nice! I love the big yard, and the pool, of course. And the kitchen is so pretty! Maybe it's better if you don't cook in it, because that will help it stay so nice and clean looking, right? No need to mess it all up.

How exciting....you are going to be living very close to where I grew up (Coral Springs). My mom is in Boca Raton, and my dad is in Pembroke Pines. We are going to be visiting in July all month. We will have to get together since you will be so close!!!
Love,
Carmen
